FINIEN worked on strategy and design on this marketing tool for Santa Ynez winery Martian Ranch & Vineyard’s inaugural biodynamic wine release. The app works as a visual tool that helps you easily track days for sowing, pruning, and harvesting a wide variety of crops. It has the added benefit of identifying “Fruit Days,” which are ideal days for tasting wines. The winery was able to attract new customers who are interested in biodynamic wines or simply want to know when to open that special vintage, while it enabled Martian to build its brand for its existing clientele in a sophisticated and useful manner.

Austrian Winery, Reckendorfer, approached FINIEN for a complete design overhaul. Each varietal was already named after a symphony played by the vineyard proprietor’s orchestra. Our very modern design approach was to enhance the musical theme on the labels without overstating the obvious. The team pulled actual sound waves from the symphonies for which each wine is named and we had them screenprinted onto the glass. In an unheard of move, all technical label information was incorporated onto the steady neck of the screw cap. The colors associated with each wine, as well as the original logotype were maintained to allow for easy recognition, while creating a lasting new impression with a label solution that would make TTB’s head spin.
